Erawan Falls Kanchanaburi an unforgettable charm

Erawan Falls is a large and beautiful waterfall before flowing into the Kwai Yai River.
Located in Erawan National Park, Si Sawat District, Kanchanaburi Province, divided into 7 layers. It is the largest waterfall in Kanchanaburi, formerly known as Sadang Mong Lai Waterfall According to the name of Huai Mong Lai, which is the source of the waterfall.

The waterway of the waterfall will flow along the rock layers for a distance of about 1,500 meters, divided into 7 large layers, each layer is beautiful, shady with various plants. The waterfall has crystal clear water, you can see the fish under the water reflecting in emerald blue. That is so, because the nature of the mountains in Erawan National Park are limestone mountains formed by the deposition of shells, crabs or corals. Therefore, the Erawan Falls flowing from the limestone mountains contains a solution of calcium carbonate.

Calcium carbonate precipitates in areas of slow flow or in calm water. That causes the waterfalls that form in the limestone mountains to have clear water in the upper part of the water surface and precipitate in the lower part of the stream. When the light shines down, it will reflect a very beautiful blue or emerald green color.
