Visit Koh Rok which consists of Koh Rok Noi, Koh Rok Yai

Koh Rok has been declared a part of Mu Ko Lanta National Park. Koh Rok consists of 2 islands, Koh Rok Nai and Koh Rok Nok. On the adjacent side of the two islands is a sandy beach separated by a shallow sea about 250 meters. In front of Koh Rok Nok, there is a fine white sandy beach stretching from the island's head to the end of the island, suitable for people who love to swim.

Koh Rok is located in Trang Province, but is based on Mu Ko Lanta National Park, Krabi Province, in Krabi waters connected to the Trang Sea. They are two small islands located close to each other. It is an island with long sandy beaches, fine grains of sand, soft to the touch, and very white sand. The tourist atmosphere of Koh Rok is suitable for those who seek a beautiful, peaceful and romantic view of nature.

Some people call Koh Rok Nok and Koh Rok Nai as Koh Rok Yai and Koh Rok Noi which means the same place.

The sandy beaches are beautiful, the waters are very shallow and clear, and there are coral reefs rich with anemones that are home to the brightly colored orange-yellow clownfish that everyone loves. It is the location of the 1st Mu Ko Lanta National Park Protection Unit. The beach in front of Koh Rok Nok is a fine white sand beach stretching from head to the end of the island. You can swim here and there is a coral reef in the south of the island. From the location of the protection unit, there is a walking path leading to Ao Talu, behind Koh Rok. And there is a walking path to Pha Samet Daeng viewpoint, a cliff with a large Samet Daeng tree growing on the edge of the cliff overlooking the islands of Trang Sea and as far as Koh Lanta.

In addition, at Koh Rok Nok, there is Ao Man Sai next to the end of the island. If it is low tide, you can walk to Ao Man Sai. At Ao Mansai, there is a giant banyan tree spreading banyan roots down to cover the ground like a curtain.This area is a mixed forest between mangrove forest and evergreen forest.
The front of the bay is a white sandy beach, the slope is suitable for swimming and quite private.

San Chao Beach is the only sandy beach on the island. The channel between Koh Rok Nok and Koh Rok Nai as well as the sea in front of San Chao Beach is a beautiful snorkeling site. The reason why it is called Haad San Chao is because there are many shrines of Mae Thaptim built by fishermen and wooden images of penis, large and small that fishermen bring to the shrine. In the south of Koh Rok Nai is Cape Siam, with the old Siamese Pillar from the reign of King Rama V located in dilapidated condition. in the area near the Siam District Pillar It is a bay where you can snorkel at another beautiful coral reef on the part.

On the southwest side or behind the island, there is Koh Rok Nai Waterfall, a symbol of Koh Rok, the only place. The stream flows from the mountain peak down a long way, falling into the sea, but there will be water only during the rainy season until the beginning of November only. There is also Ao Hin Ngam located to the south of Koh Rok Nai. It is a bay with colorful rock formations, so it is called.


There are 2 routes to travel to Koh Rok that are convenient

From Koh Lanta, Krabi Province to Koh Rok
The distance is about 30 kilometers, which is quite convenient to travel from Koh Lanta since there are daily passenger boats to Koh Rok. You can buy a day trip package at the resort where the boat will pick you up in front of the beach, the boat leaves Koh Lanta around 8:00 am. The boat will pick up passengers at various resorts and head to Koh Rok. When reaching Koh Rok, the boat will stop for swimming and take the diving point until the evening, then go back. The boat will return from Koh Rok at 16.00 hrs.  Traveling like this doesn't cost much, the price of a one-day tour costs 1,200-1,400 baht per person.

From Pak Meng Pier, Trang Province to Koh Rok
The distance of approximately 45 kilometers can be reached by purchasing a day trip package. Or buy an overnight tour package that has to check if the boat leaves that day or not. If you come in a group, you can charter a boat to Koh Rok, either by speed boat or large long-tail boat, which takes about 1 hour.
