Khao Chang Hai Cave is located in Na Yong District, Trang Province. It is a cave with many beautiful stalactites and stalagmites. The cave itself is about 500 meters deep. It takes about 20 minutes to walk in. But this cave is not difficult to travel because inside there is a concrete walkway with lights along the path that makes viewing the cave comfortably.

The size of Tham Khao Chang Hai is quite large, with a height of 150 meters from the ground and a length of more than 850 meters. It is another famous tourist attraction that is not far from Trang, which of course is very popular with both locals and tourists a lot.

Elephant legend of Khao Chang Hai Cave

There is also a story about Tham Khao Chang Hai also said that in the past, in the era when Nakhon Si Thammarat was flourishing in Buddhism, there was an idea to build a pagoda and it was announced that the treasures would be contained.

A group of pilgrims wishing to bring their wealth to Nakhon Si Thammarat came to rest in this area and a young elephant was born along the way, which later became known as the swamp in this area. "Nong Chang Yok"

Then the procession continued to the hillside area and stopped for the elephants to eat grass. As for the baby elephant, who was running around until he disappeared into a cave, when the mahout saw it, he hurriedly made a torch and went to find him. Then use a magic spell and use only 3 red and white threads to successfully catch the baby elephant from that rope.

Then continue the journey until you meet a group of farmers harvesting rice. When the farmer saw that the baby elephant was led by three red and white threads, it made a loud noise in surprise, causing the spell to wear off. The baby elephant, startled, ran into the cave again and was never seen again, so the cave was called "The Elephant Cave". "Tham Khao Chang Disappears"

Khao Chang Hai Cave is beautiful and grand, and it's also easy to walk around. Must be regarded as a beautiful cave that must not be missed. Who likes the mysterious beauty of nature like this must come and see the beauty once.
