Wat Chedi Luang Worawihan or Wat Chotikaram is the site of the largest chedi in Chiang Mai. It is also an old royal temple of Chiang Mai located in the heart of the city. There is a wide area as a temple that the people of Chiang Mai believe very much.

The royal viharn of this temple, Chao Khun Upali Khun Grandmaster (Sirichantha Thera) and Chao Kaew Nawarat were built in 1928. In front of the entrance door of the viharn there is a serpent stairway creeping beautifully, the more it uses its tail to hook up to the temple arch.

The design is similar to the Bagan Pagoda shape. Modified the four corner arches of the Maha Chedi with 28 supporting elephant statues surrounding the Chedi Luang. The creation of an elephant statue is to promote the city's superstition in order to make the city stronger.
